Overview: We are seeking a dedicated Performance Improvement Coordinator to join our team. Duties: - * Assist the Director of Nursing in planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of the nursing department. * Supervise and evaluate nursing staff performance, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship as needed. * Collaborate with other department heads to ensure interdisciplinary coordination of patient care. * Develop and implement nursing policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure the delivery of safe and effective patient care. * Monitor and maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including state and federal regulations and accreditation requirements. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives, analyzing data and implementing strategies to improve patient outcomes. * Assist in the recruitment, selection, and retention of nursing staff, ensuring adequate staffing levels at all times. * Provide leadership in emergencies, ensuring appropriate response and follow-up. * Serve as a resource and mentor to nursing staff, promoting professional development and a culture of continuous learning. * Collaborate with the Director of Nursing in budget planning and management for the nursing department. * Maintain effective communication channels with nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Director of Nursing or upper management. Qualifications: - * Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of Maryland. * Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, with progressive leadership responsibilities. * Prior experience in a supervisory or management role is preferred. * Strong knowledge of nursing principles, practices, and techniques. * Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. * Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and electronic medical records (EMR) systems. * Commitment to promoting a culture of patient safety and quality improvement. * Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
