Veterinary Hospitalist | Pittsburgh, PA

Our 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital is currently seeking a Veterinary Hospitalist to join our amazing emergency and critical care team. The Veterinary Hospitalist will work directly with our emergency and critical care department. Their primary responsibility will be to receive transfers from the emergency veterinarians that require hospitalization. Patients may be transferred on the same day, the following day, or may be discharged by hospitalist on the following day. Secondary responsibility would include receiving minor follow up appointments that come through as “same day emergencies” as well as low acuity emergencies (i.e., urgent care). The ideal candidate will be internship-trained or have at least two years of professional experience as a DVM prior to their application. Located in Monroeville, PA, Avets is just a 25-minute drive to the city of Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh and its surrounding areas have a lot to offer anyone considering moving to town.
