Position Summary:

The Press Brake Operator will be primarily responsible for setting up and operating a brake press to form parts in accordance with blueprint specifications and work instructions. The ideal candidate must have an attention to detail and be willing to learn how to operate other shop equipment as needed. The work environment is clean, with modern equipment and does not require heavy lifting.

Hours: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM

Essential Functions:

  • Reads and interprets blueprints and work operation sheets to determine appropriate operations to be performed.
  • Sets up brake press in accordance with the print specifications and work instructions
  • Operates a brake press and runs production in accordance with establish procedures and guidelines.
  • Utilizes inspection gauges such as calipers (both dial and Vernier), micrometers, squares, and height gauges to perform quality checks on parts.
  • Completes production paperwork and makes required entries into company data base.
  • Follows verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instruction, process specifications, sketches, and direction from supervisor in completing a variety of machining and inspection tasks.
  • Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies. Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Background in metal fabrication preferred but willing to train.
  • Able to read blueprints preferred.
  • Able to work with +/- .010" tolerances preferred.
  • Experience using micrometers, calipers and other measuring tools preferred.
  • Clean, organized, and multi-task capable.
  • Intermediate Math skills in geometric and trigonometric formulas a plus.
  • Flexible, reliable, self-starting team player with ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Above average manual dexterity and mechanical aptitude.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills.
