COMMUNITY MANAGER POSITION

The Tanglwood Lakes Community Association, a premier residential community of single family homes, within 900 plus wooded acres, is seeking a highly motivated professional Community Manager.

The community, located in the northern Poconos area adjacent to a golf course, consists of Lake Tanglwood, Briarwood Trail, playground, basketball court, ballfield and walking trail, fire pit and picnic area, fitness center, beachfront / marina on Lake Wallenpaupack, a community center, administrative office.

The individual candidate must be a skilled professional, focused on meeting the needs and demands of the community, which is guided by a Board of Directors.

He / she must be a self-starter, a leader possessing excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and creative in seeking solutions to problems.

He / she must be innovative, thrive on challenges, demonstrate enthusiasm for the work, and have a high level of compassion and a desire to serve the community

The Manager is responsible for the supervision of the community staff, overseeing the day to day operations of the community, and, among other things, is an advocate on behalf of the association with residents and external audiences such as local and other governmental officials.

HOA Community Manager Job Description

The Community Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Tanglwood Lakes Community Association, which includes, but is not limited to, managing the community's finances, enforcing rules and regulations, and addressing resident concerns.

The Community Manager works with the HOA Board of Directors to create and implement policies, manage maintenance and repairs, and assists in organizing community events.

The Community Association Manager is responsible for overseeing a wide range of tasks, including, but not limited to:

Assisting with the preparation and management of the Association's annual budget and delivering financial reports, in conjunction with the Budget and Finance Committee

Evaluating and recommending outside vendors for major initiatives

Coordinating with vendors and contractors for repairs and maintenance

Monitoring the performance of vendors and contractors.

Communicating with residents and addressing homeowner concerns

Enforcing the Association's rules and regulations

Preparing and distributing agendas and minutes for board meetings

Acting as a point of contact for the board of directors and the community and keeping the Board informed of any feedback or concerns from residents

Performing site inspections to ensure that the community property and common areas are properly maintained and that all residents follow the community's rules

Playing a significant role in special projects

Participating / attending all TLCA Standing Committee meetings

Complying with federal, state and local laws

Maintaining proper insurance for the community and managing issues, thereof

Knowing when to seek / source expert opinions

Ability to work Tuesday thru Saturdays.

Be on call 24/7 for emergency situations, if any arise

Education:

Bachelors Degree in Public Administration, Business, Management, or Accounting

Certification desirable, for example: CMCA, AMS or PCAM

Experience:

Position requires strong oral and written communication skills, organizational ability, capability to work in a fast-paced and diverse environment, ability to handle multiple priorities

Three to five years of experience in all phases of community leadership at a management level

Solid background in budgeting with evidence of accomplishments in delivering cost efficiencies.

Online community manger software / remote meeting skills

Must have experience working with the public, i.e., residents in this case

Salary commensurate with experience.
