Home Care Delivery Specialist

Our HME business is growing We are now accepting applications for full-time employment as a Home Care Delivery Specialist.
We are seeking candidates who excel in providing prompt, friendly, and positive experiences for patients and team members. The position requires maintaining confidentiality, the ability to multitask, analytical skills, and close attention to detail.
A positive attitude, strong communication skills, and computer skills are required. A valid driver's license is also required. Customer service and/or medical services-related experience is preferred.
Requirements
Home Care Delivery Specialist Full- Time
REQUIREMENTS:
EDUCATION: High School diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE: Customer service and/or medical services-related experience preferred
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver's license
- Dependable vehicle
- Available after hours for occasional on-call duties
- Honest, loyal, and trustworthy
- Friendly and energetic personality
- Ability to handle multiple tasks within prescribed timeframes efficiently and effectively
- Ability to take initiative to fulfill the duties and responsibilities of the position
- Must be detail-oriented and able to maintain an organized workflow
- Must be committed to close follow-up and completion of all assigned tasks
- Skilled in the use of basic carpentry and mechanical tools
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment
- Possess basic computer and data input skills
- Skilled in operation of basic office equipment such as copier, fax, and telephone
- Must be able to communicate and work well with pharmacists, health care professionals, customers, peers, and superiors in a cordial and professional manner
- Good math and verbal skills
- Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods
- Ability to climb stepladders, bend, twist, and maneuver in tight spaces
- Vision and hearing correctable to normal
- Ability to lift up to 80 pounds
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Good short and long-term memory
- Recognize own limitations and seek assistance when required
MEDICAL EQUIPMENT AND RESPIRATORY SERVICES:
- Educating patients about Medical Equipment and Respiratory Services
- In-home medical equipment setups and checkups
- Medical equipment repairs, maintenance, and related documentation
- Assist with inventory management, including rentals and supplies
- Occasional assistance with transfill of oxygen
- Maintain records and ensure compliance with all required training and continuing education for staff with respect to Medicare Accreditation, FDA, DOT, OSHA, etc.
- After hour on call duties (in rotation with other staff)
- Generation of delivery tickets utilizing HME software
- Weekly delivery of oxygen to patients (generally within a 60-mile radius)
- Delivery of medical equipment
- Occasional prescription deliveries to patients within the city limits
- Use of personal vehicle may occasionally be required - mileage to be reimbursed at federal rate
- Maintaining clean and organized work rooms, storage rooms and delivery vehicles
- Occasional shared housekeeping duties such as sweeping, dusting, cleaning, etc.
- Function within the limits of the law and Midwest Family Health policies and procedures and the employee manual
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned to assist in the smooth, efficient operation of the store
