Join our dynamic Epredia team as we revolutionize manufacturing and warehouse operations Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, the Automation Engineer will play a pivotal role in designing, programming, and testing automated processes that streamline tasks with precision. Location: Kalamazoo, MI

What you will be doing:

  • Identify opportunities to increase efficiency with automation, creating a connection between information inputs, controllers and outputs.
  • Collaborating with design teams and coordinating the development of innovative designs.
  • Design, maintain and support automated systems.
  • Programming new automated components.
  • Investigate and eliminate defects or errors in the technology and establish monitoring processes.
  • Support IQ/OQ/PQ validations on all existing and new automated processes and automated equipment.
  • Create a visual factory that takes system outputs and uses the data to drive decisions to optimize work-flow and efficiency.
  • Support production enhancements and implementation of next generation production lines and capital projects.
  • Review, develop and implement automated processes for existing and new products in manufacturing.
  • Provide training and guidance to other team members as required.
Skills you will need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Automation Engineering or Electrical Engineering required.
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering, automation engineering.
  • Strong programming abilities.
  • Experience managing projects or programs.
  • Knowledge of DB and experience in sending/receiving data from external applications.
  • Able to perform Ethernet communication from PC applications to PLCs.
  • Experience in developing applications in C#.
  • Have experience with Windows PC development environment and Windows Server.
  • Experience in development based on cooperation with SAP preferred.
  • Experience in development in Android environment preferred.
  • Experience in data analysis using Python and Ruby preferred.
  • Experience in visualization using BI tools such as Power BI preferred.
  • Experience with Keyence KV Studio preferred.
  • Knowledge of endpoint security.
  • Experience with Process Validation.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, database and internet based programs).
