Job Description:

About Kodiak Solutions

This is an exciting time to join our growing Kodiak Solutions team Recently, Crowe LLP reached a decision to divest its Crowe Healthcare Consulting practice, now Kodiak, in a sale to TPG, a global asset management firm that will be the perfect partner to take Kodiak to the next level. The story around Kodiak is an impressive one. Derek Bang, the practice founder and inventor of the group's flagship software product for net revenue reporting, Revenue Cycle Analytics (RCA) came to Crowe nearly 20 years ago with an idea for a strategic pursuit in the Healthcare Industry through his previous experience as a Healthcare Auditor at a Big 4 firm. Crowe invested in the idea, providing the resources and support necessary to launch the RCA product and organically grow the practice to its current state, now offering a broad suite of software and services that help healthcare CFOs solve challenges across financial reporting, revenue cycle, and risk and compliance. Kodiak currently services more than 1,800 hospitals and 200,000 practice-based physicians across all 50 states. Due to the unique complexities of the business such as technology and data security, it is time for a new partner with the appropriate expertise and resources to invest in the future growth of Kodiak. The transaction will enable Kodiak to operate with greater flexibility and focus, positioning it to accelerate growth and expand its technology portfolio to better serve healthcare provider organizations across the county.

We are seeking a skilled Data Science Engineer who will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and improvement of current machine learning implementations within our Revenue Cycle line of business. In addition, this role will so have responsibility for helping to develop a more comprehensive and robust data science practice that can be applied to all areas.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in data science and an in-depth understanding of machine-learning techniques. Additionally, they will possess strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

About the Role

  • As an individual contributor, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery continuity of existing solutions that incorporate data science and machine learning.
  • As a lead, you will be driving change in how our products and services leverage machine learning; you will help our engineering leadership team implement a cohesive vision to address scalability both in technology and people.
  • You will be able to understand and interpret short- and long-term goals and act in a cohesive and coordinated way to achieve those goals.
Required Skills
  • Programming experience. You're experienced writing scalable, production-level code in Python. You're familiar with Linux/UNIX systems.
  • Platform experience. You're experienced in using Azure Machine Learning and in the creation of reusable builds using this platform. Experience integrating with Dynamics 365 and similar a plus.
  • Machine learning experience. You've used machine learning packages, such as Tensorflow and Pytorch, and have proven experience in designing/developing AI/ML models. You understand the mechanics of supporting ML solutions in a production environment and can help develop/maintain tests that validate functionality or evaluate model performance.
  • Software Experience. You're familiar with the software development lifecycle. You have exposure to CI/CD frameworks, containerization, and tools like Docker and Git.
  • Scalability experience. Developing solutions with scalability in mind is your default mode of operation and you take active steps to ensure every problem you solve can be scaled at an enterprise level.
Preferred Skills

  • Agile experience. You're experienced attending Scrum or Kanban meetings; you favor incremental, iterative improvements through regular releases, testing, and monitoring.
