SUMMARY OF POSITION
We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Contract and Pricing Senior Manager to become a vital part of our team. The ideal candidate will assume a pivotal role in overseeing contractual agreements, ensuring development and alignment with pricing strategies, and making substantial contributions to the overall success of our business. This role demands a strategic thinker with robust analytical capabilities, effective negotiation skills, and a comprehensive grasp of both contract management and pricing principles.
ORGANIZATION STRUCTURE
Alvogen is a leading player in the generic pharmaceutical industry, dedicated to providing high-quality and affordable healthcare solutions. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, we are expanding our team and seeking a qualified Contract and Pricing Senior Manager to contribute to our continued success. This position will report to Director of Contracts and Pricing within Sales Operations and be based in Morristown, NJ.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Primary responsibilities of this role include the following:
Contract Negotiation :
Contribute to and support intricate negotiations for pricing offers, contract terms, amendments, and conditions with key business partners. Ensure contracts align with legal requirements, company policies, to mitigate risk.
Respond to RFPs for Group Purchasing Organizations and individual customer purchase agreements. Develop tailored business proposals as requested for each customer.
Contract Lifecycle Management :
Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from initial drafting to execution and ongoing compliance monitoring. Work closely with legal, compliance, and sales teams to ensure contract adherence.
Stakeholder Relationship Management :
Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, both internally and externally. Address inquiries and concerns related to contracts and pricing in a timely and effective manner. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to resolve issues related to contract performance. Troubleshoot and reconcile all price disputes/discrepancies related to invoices, chargebacks, and rebates.
Configure Price Quote (CPQ):
Drive the successful implementation, adoption, and continuous optimization of CPQ tools, ensuring seamless quoting and pricing. This involves close collaboration with IT and Sales teams to customize and integrate CPQ solutions.
Customer Relationship Management (CRM):
Harness the full potential of CRM system to elevate customer interactions and provide robust support for sales processes. This includes maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer information within the CRM platform. Collaboration with Sales and Marketing teams is key to aligning CRM usage with overarching business goals.
Data Analysis and Insights:
Utilize advanced data analytics tools to assess the performance of pricing strategies and contract effectiveness. Provide actionable insights based on data-driven analyses.
Optimize and execute strategic pricing initiatives to enhance profitability and competitiveness. Leverage pricing strategy in conjunction with margin objectives to inform in-line pricing updates and changes.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field, MBA preferred.
5 years of equivalent Contract experience, preferably in the Generic Pharmaceutical Industry
Proven track record of successful contract negotiation and management in the generic pharmaceutical industry.
In-depth knowledge of pricing strategies and market dynamics.
Proficient in data analysis tools and able to derive meaningful insights from complex datasets.
Preferred experience in implementing and optimizing CPQ tools for smooth quoting and pricing, with effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Preferred experience in utilizing CRM systems for improved customer interactions, ensuring accurate data maintenance, and aligning CRM usage with broader business goals.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft applications is required with strong skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to demonstrate a high level of discretion and sensitivity to confidential information.
Strong attention to detail.
Proficient in negotiation with a proven ability to cultivate positive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Effective collaboration within a cross-functional team setting
Self-sufficiency in task execution.
Proficient multitasking and prioritization skills.
