**AAMP Global is looking for a Senior Buyer to join our fast-paced Operations team**
The AAMP Global Senior Buyer is responsible for maintaining the supply chain inventory levels for multiple AAMP Global US warehouses. The Senior Buyer must be capable of ensuring inventory levels are met, but not exceed, in each location. This role is responsible for maintaining clear and accurate records of all business transactions for the organization in regards to purchasing.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Prepares purchase orders using system tools provided, combining sales forecast, historical demand and knowledge of product seasonality.
Maintain a balance of product service level and inventory cost across multiple facilities.
Responsible for negotiating the lowest possible cost while maintaining approved quality within the project timeframe
Build vendor relationships and monitor vendor delivery performance at the sku level.
Collaborate with necessary department to resolve product billing or shipping issues.
Collaborate with our procurement engineer to support the component management process of contract manufacturers building our finished goods internationally.
Maintain and update product information and work order templates stored in ERP.
Monitor various queues for purchasing actions.
Create and maintain production work orders as requirements arise involving AAMP Production team
Identify and communicate product sales trends to avoid outages or overages that result from these trends
Cooperate and support the business units from development stage on.
Implement and use one off processes to meet customer requirements for dealers, distributors, ecommerce and mass merchants.
Validating new vendors for their terms, price, policies, lead times, capacity, etc.
Provide necessary inventory reports to other departments and vendors
Work with AAMP offices globally to combine requirements when beneficial
Support marketing collateral to meet their timeframes
Manage/consolidate supplier base to efficiently support business needs
Oversee the component management process of contract manufacturers building our finished goods
**Requirements:**
Experience and knowledge of Domestic and International purchasing.
Strong computer and technical skills, especially in Excel, and a working understanding of MRP/ERP.
Understanding of logistical requirements to supply multisite operations
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work in a team environment with multiple disciplines of the business.
Demonstration competence in decision making.
Electronic component supply chain awareness is a plus.
**Required Education and Experience:**
Bachelors Degree.
3+ years experience in purchasing.
Negotiation training.
Experience with Blue Ridge and NetSuite are preferred but not required.
