Description Position: Heavy Equipment OperatorStarting Pay: $20 per hourOverview:Weitsman Recycling is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Equipment Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safe, precise, and efficient operation of heavy machinery to support recycling processes. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to maintain an organized work environment.Key Responsibilities:Equipment Operation: Operate heavy machinery such as loaders, excavators, forklifts, and material handlers isafely and efficiently Conduct regular maintenance checks and report any necessary repairs to ensure optimal equipment performance.Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and transport materials within the recycling facility. Sort and organize materials based on type and quality, ensuring seamless processing. Collaborate with team members to optimize material flow and operations.Safety and Compliance: Strictly adhere to safety guidelines, preventing accidents and ensuring a safe work environment. Comply with all environmental regulations and company policies related to recycling processes.Quality Control: Monitor the quality of materials being processed and promptly report any issues or deviations. Maintain high standards for the quality of recycled materials.Communication: Work closely with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations. Report equipment malfunctions and maintenance needs immediately to minimize downtime.Qualifications: Proven experience as an Equipment Operator, preferably in a recycling or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of operating and maintaining heavy machinery. Ability to interpret and follow safety regulations and environmental guidelines. Physical stamina and fitness for demanding tasks in a fast-paced environment. Excellent attention to detail and precision in equipment operation.Education and Certifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Certifications in heavy equipment operation preferred.Additional Requirements: Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends as needed.
