We are seeking a talented and experienced Principal Hydrogeologist to lead the hydrogeology team in Seattle at an employee-owned environmental consulting firm. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hydrogeological principles, extensive experience in managing complex projects, and a proven track record of delivering high-quality results. This position offers the opportunity to work on challenging and impactful projects while collaborating with a team of talented professionals. Responsibilities: Lead and manage hydrogeological investigations, including site characterization, groundwater modeling, and remediation design. Provide technical expertise and guidance on groundwater resource management, contamination assessment, and regulatory compliance. Develop and implement innovative solutions to address groundwater challenges, such as contamination remediation and sustainable water supply development. Oversee field investigations, drilling programs, and groundwater monitoring activities. Prepare technical reports, proposals, and presentations for clients and regulatory agencies. Mentor and support junior staff members, fostering their professional development and growth. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including geologists, engineers, and environmental scientists, to achieve project objectives. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in hydrogeology, geology, environmental engineering, or related field. Minimum of 15 years of experience in hydrogeology consulting, with a focus on environmental projects. Professional registration (e.g., PG, LHG) preferred. Strong technical proficiency in groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling software (e.g., MODFLOW, MT3DMS). Excellent project management skills, with the ability to effectively manage budgets, schedules, and resources. Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex hydrogeological projects on time and within budget. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences. Experience working with regulatory agencies (e.g., EPA, state environmental departments) and knowledge of relevant environmental regulations and guidelines.
