Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Electrical Engineer, located in South West, IL. Perform, program, and test for relay protection Assist with maintenance and testing of generator excitation systems, protective relays, and other auxiliary equipment. Assist with electrical modeling for NERC PRC and MOD studies Participate in educational activities. Write trip reports that describe, in detail, the system and device failure and actions taken. Review the system problem and solution with the Design Engineering group. Travel to customer sites to perform system startup or required maintenance, provide instructions for customer installation, maintenance, or repair of equipment. Perform all other duties as assigned. REQUIREMENTS: B.S.E.E. degree or equivalent. Prefer candidates interested in utility/power plant experience and an Electrical Engineering degree. Experience with PSS/e, SKM, ETAP, and/or EASYPOWER is preferred Travel to customer sites to perform relay commissioning, startup or required maintenance, provide instructions for customer installation, maintenance, or repair equipment. Proficient computer skills.
