POSITION SUMMARY

The inbound/outbound Supervisor oversees the receipt and shipping of all inbound and/or outbound freight. This position is responsible for organizing and scheduling the workflow for the pick and pack operations, as well as maintaining inventory control. The ideal candidate for this position will have a working knowledge of computers, strong use of Excel, Oracle while analyzing system data and knowledge of transportation software, and strong interpersonal skills and experience in managing associates to address their concerns and issues.

REQUIRED RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS

  • Supervises the daily work and safety of employees engaged in receiving, replenishing, and storing inbound product, including all warehouse functions, receivers and forklift operators
  • Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments.
  • Manage picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest possible levels of productivity.
  • Verify required inbound paperwork with teams, ensuring that all product is properly counted.
  • Experience and working knowledge of warehouse systems
  • Able to follow daily schedule while monitoring and using on-hand materials
  • Provide daily shift notes to Operations Manager and up to Director of distribution
  • Create, review, and understand all Standard Operation Procedures

EDUCATION

High school diploma or equivalent required

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Maintain well organized files using Excel and other Microsoft office software.
  • Create a positive work environment and develop ownership in department operations with your Associates
  • Maintain a Safe, Organized, Clean and Secure environment (Dock/Inside and Outside)
  • Issue representative errors and coach/develop representatives in order to reduce future errors
  • Communicate department expectations to all employees.
  • Work well under pressure in fast-paced environment.
  • Must have at least 3 years' experience as a supervisor within distribution center in/outbound freight
