Position Requirements

Use experience in field operations or required discipline relevant to identifying, planning and implementing operational and training programs. Develops courseware lesson plans, schedules training, provides academic instruction and refresher training, and evaluates student and instructor performance. Assists in evaluating course training and progress. Develops and administers basic and advanced courses of instruction. Collects feedback on sessions from attendees to use for future improvements to content and presentation.

In addition to the above requirements Training Specialists also:

Level I

Level II

  • Provide training team supervision
  • Monitors the effectiveness of training on employees using individual or group performance results.

Position Qualifications

Level I

Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. Extensive experience in the required discipline can serve as substitution for Bachelor's Degree requirements. Experience: With Bachelors Degree, 4+ Years in training responsibilities with the required discipline (e.g. IT, Acquisition, IT Acquisition, Finances, and Business Management) within Federal, DoD Program Management Offices (PMO). Without Bachelors Degree, 6+ Years in training responsibilities with the required discipline (e.g. IT, Acquisition, IT Acquisition, Finances, and Business Management) within Federal, DoD Program Management Offices (PMO).

Level II

Bachelor's Degree in related discipline. Extensive experience in the required discipline can serve as substitution for Bachelor's Degree requirements. Applicants selected for this position will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Only US citizens are eligible for a security clearance. For this position, VISTA will consider only applicants with Secret security clearances or applicants who are eligible for security clearances.
