Transportation Driver

The Transportation driver/resident assistant role is a client centered role where you are required to deliver excellent client care and compassion from the beginning of the client's experience with us until they leave treatment. This primary role is responsible for transporting clients to and from treatment, and their scheduled appointments safely and on time. When not providing transportation to the clients, the employee will be assisting with the daily residential assistant duties.

Essential Functions:

•Pick up and transport clients to and from treatment and to their appointments

•Communicate traffic delays, accidents or situations with management pertaining to the transport of the client

•Track all vehicle maintenance and maintain the vehicle in clean, operational order

•Interact and communicate with the clients in a professional, courteous manner

•Drive for extended periods of time while interacting with the client

•When not driving, work in the facility assisting clients with their daily needs

•Assisting with intakes including searches, and getting the client ready for admission

•Assist with documented checks on the clients

•Ensure the building is secure when on facility grounds. Conduct and document safety checks

Requirements

Work Environment:

Office and Health care setting with clients and other employees present.

•Working indoors primarily and outdoors occasionally.

•Working in close proximity to others.

•May walk on slippery and uneven walking surfaces.

•Excessive continuous noise at times.

•Typical office and computer lab environment.

•Mostly indoor office environment with windows and lights.

•Offices with equipment noise.

•Offices with frequent interruptions.

Physical Demands:

•Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

•Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times.

Travel Required:

•Ability to travel to various offices, facility and appointment locations.

Required education and experience:

•Possess High School diploma or GED equivalent.

•Familiar with HIPPA/client confidentiality and personal rights.

•Possess CPR/First Aid certification.

•Current TB test and health screen

•Clean driving record

•Class C vehicle license required

•Class C vehicle license with passenger endorsement preferred

Salary Description

$18 - $23 per hour DOE
