Human Resource Manager

Jones-Hamilton Co. is a U.S.-based chemical manufacturer of sodium bisulfate (SBS) and hydrochloric acid (HCl). We have played a pivotal role in the development of more than 30 diverse applications for sodium bisulfate, including food ingredients and processing, metal finishing, and pools and spas. Jones-Hamilton is an employee-owned company with 130+ employee owners located at our two manufacturing sites (Walbridge, Ohio and Richburg, South Carolina) and salespersons strategically located throughout the United States.

Jones-Hamilton Co. is seeking a full time

located in the Toledo, Ohio area (Corporate office).

The candidate must have a

minimum of eight (8) years Human Resources/Business Management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment,

Ideal candidate must have experience as follows:

Ability to perform successfully at strategic and operational levels.

Demonstrated ability to partner and build rapport with internal and remote employees.

Successful history of recruiting new employees at all levels.

Knowledge of benefits and compensation administration.

Developing & implementing corporate policies/procedures.

Training/coaching employees and managers.

Performance management.

Solid knowledge in employment law and demonstrated experience in managing employee relations issues.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task and prioritize work based on business needs.

Strong project management and presentation skills.

Ability to negotiate and influence on HR issues.

Qualifications:

Proven working experience in human resource field, with minimum of eight (8) years experience, preferably with a manufacturing company.

Ability to work independently and prioritize work, interact, and communicate at all levels of the business with ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Ability to foster a team attitude and to counsel individuals to improve their skills and abilities.

Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field. Masters degree, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification a plus.

Proficient in use of Microsoft Office business application (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ADP (preferred).

Understanding of ESOP and 401(k) plans preferred.

Strong knowledge of employment law and regulations and ability to stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in human resource management.

20% domestic travel required.
