What You'll Do
Epic Games is looking for a Senior Mobile Anti-Cheat Engineer to join the efforts to protect our games against cheaters and other bad actors. You will be the main responsible individual for the excellence of our anti-cheat efforts on mobile with opportunities to contribute across the board on our anti-cheat work. The ideal candidate has extensive experience developing low-level software and a security background. This is an incredible opportunity to create a fun and safe environment for millions of players and positively impact the entire Epic ecosystem.
In this role, you will
- Develop new technologies that identify untrustworthy mobile devices in our games
- Collaborate with engineers, data analysts, and other developers to improve existing safety and security processes
- Monitor and reverse engineer emerging threats to implement appropriate remediations
- Design and implement strategies and tactics to make it harder for attackers to analyze and circumvent our security checks
- Expert knowledge of operating system concepts, especially as applied in mobile device operating systems
- Expert knowledge of C++ in a game security environment
- Ability to read and understand ARM64 assembly code
- Ability to reverse engineer binaries including mobile packages like IPA and APK files
- Knowledge of software obfuscation techniques
- You are comfortable working with large codebases and can independently write and maintain robust code that will ship across millions of devices
- Knowledge of game cheating techniques
- Technical understanding of mobile device exploitation, security, or root/jailbreak procedures
- Knowledge of Unreal Engine
