We are looking for an experienced Shift Manager to manage our Recycling and Manufacturing operation at our expanding site in Selby. You will support, train and develop our Extrusion and Recycling Operational Teams (c35 employees) focussing on production performance. **SHIFTS**: 4on / 4off, Continental Shifts (Days) Overtime readily available 0600 - 1800 * **DUTIES**: + Responsible for production performance to meet or improve upon targets for safety, cost, quality, delivery, equipment and people. + Identifying, planning, implementing and sustaining best practice within the production facility. + Supporting the development of the sites business plan (to deliver operational strategy), with responsibility for the implementation / execution across the production facility. + Developing a high-performing production team with a culture of delivery and continuous improvement through effective management activities. + Responsible for controlling all operations during the shift in line with the Environmental Permit and all relevant legislation, company policies & procedures. + Responsible for overall monitoring of equipment condition and performance to ensure ongoing capability to produce products to meet production targets + Responsible for ensuring manpower is effectively utilised to meet production facility targets. + Develop high-performing production teams with a culture of delivery and continuous improvement + Identify, plan, implement and sustain best practice within the production facility + Take an active involvement in identifying opportunities & solutions for continuous improvement + Responsible for site health & safety during shift + Ensure relevant information is reported to facilitate stock control * **KEY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE**: + Production / Manufacturing management experience is essential + Experience of Plastic Extrusion / Recycling operations. + Self-motivated as well as the ability to motivate others + Excellent influencing and communication skills + Evaluate, train and mentor colleagues + Thinks clearly and analytically + Fair level of business acumen + Strong people management skills + Practical problem solving skills + Strategic awareness + Understanding of business financial management + Working Knowledge of extrusion process + Understanding of key project management processes * **BENEFITS**: + You will be rewarded with a very competitive basic salary + Pension Plan + Employee discount on Eurocell products + Eurxtras
