The Role:

As a Software Engineer in Test, you will be responsible for partnering with engineering teams to ship quality software and drive the creation, design, and adoption of test automation frameworks for our applications. You will work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure they deliver high quality applications through best practices. We are looking for an engineer who can work independently, and deliver stable and maintainable automation scripts.

What Youll Do:

  • Contribute to creation and maintenance of automated testing frameworks
  • Identify best practices in testing tools
  • Review existing code, identify and prioritize scenarios where we could or need to improve the quality of coverage
  • Analyze requirements to determine appropriate testing strategies for different applications through automation
  • Contribute to existing automation frameworks to extend regression test coverage
  • Work with our Cloud Engineering team to support the pipeline for automated tests to be executed on regular basis to account for our development activities and release schedule
  • Provide feedback to development teams on building testable applications
  • Support engineering teams during release testing phase

About You:

Must Haves:

  • Experience writing automation tests that have been used in a shipped product
  • Experience with building a software testing strategy using automated testing frameworks.
  • Experience building automated tests with testing frameworks such as Cypress, Playwright, Detox
  • Experience programming in Javascript, Python, Java or similar languages
  • Thorough understanding of unit, integration, and end to end testing and how to best utilize each approach
  • Solid Web or Mobile automation testing experience and ability to leverage QA tools to implement test automation frameworks
  • Experience testing REST API calls
  • Effective understanding of test driven development and the ability to reinforce best practices
  • Knowledge of continuous integration practices
  • Experience using CI pipeline for automated tests using GitHub actions or similar tools
  • Self-sufficient with the ability to operate without constant direction or supervision
  • Clear, concise and effective communicator

Nice To Haves:

  • SQL or Database knowledge / experience
  • Experience using Device / Browser Farms such as Browserstack, Sauce Labs, etc
  • Experience using Xray, Zephyr, TestRail or other Test Case Management tools
  • Digital Health / healthcare experience
  • Experience in FDA regulated environment
  • Experience working for a fast paced, high growth company
