My client is seeking a Solid Waste Engineer for California to oversee a variety of solid waste projects. In this position, you will play a key role in project management, proposal development, and direct engagement with both public and private clients, involving marketing, client management, and project execution. The role offers flexibility, allowing for a hybrid work arrangement at any of our Northern California offices. Remote work is also a possibility for candidates residing in Northern California.
Requirements:
Apply extensive and diverse knowledge of engineering and scientific principles in the realm of solid waste and related fields.
Generate engineering calculations, drawings, reports, and permit applications.
Independently address engineering or scientific challenges, formulate decisions, coordinate tasks, and represent the organization at meetings and conferences.
Conduct fieldwork, involving high/driving in diverse terrain and weather, encompassing activities such as surveys, data gathering, CQA liner installations, and inspections.
Perform office-based responsibilities, including CAD drafting, mathematical calculations, report composition, site plans, facility diagrams, and permit applications.
Engage in business development, encompassing tasks like proposal preparation, client meetings, and participation in industry-related conferences/trade shows.
Seek technical guidance for unusual or complex problems and obtain supervisory approval for proposed plans or projects.
Qualifications:
A relevant bachelor's degree in engineering is a prerequisite.
A minimum of 6 years of applicable working experience or demonstrated consulting expertise in projects specific to the solid waste industry, encompassing landfill gas management, air compliance, and landfill design and permitting, is mandatory.
An Engineer-in-Training (E.I.T.) certification is required, and possession of California P.E. (civil) registration or the capability to acquire it within 6 months is desirable.
A valid driver's license with a favorable driving record is also a requirement.
