Job Summary

As a CT Technologist with Corewell Health, you can turn detailed images into life-changing diagnoses. You'll be responsible for performing accurate diagnostic CT exams while following regulations and ALARA principles of radiation protection. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their families.

Essential Functions

+ Verifies patient identification and physician order.

+ Provides procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam.

+ Acquires an accurate patient history and documents in the medical record.

+ Performs CT and related patient care procedures using age appropriate methods for patients physical ability and/or limitations.

+ Places IVs as required for injection of contrast media.

+ Proficiently operates CT imaging equipment and performs necessary quality control and quality assurance testing.

+ Monitors patients during procedures to ensure patient safety.

+ Ensures STAT requests are relayed to radiologist in a timely manner.

+ Ensures equipment is wiped down between patients and exam room is clean and properly stocked with linen and supplies.

+ Accurately and efficiently uses hospital computer systems for verifying orders, viewing schedules and sending information to PACs.

+ Use effective inter/intra-departmental communication and participates with medical staff, management, technical and support staff.

Qualifications

+ Required Associate's Degree Graduate of Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) Accredited Radiography program.

+ 1 year of relevant experience 1-3 years experience beyond staff radiographer level. Preferred

+ CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Upon Hire required

+ CRT-Computerized Tomography (CT) - ARDMS American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Excludes team members hired prior to 2008. 1 Year required

+ CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Upon Hire required Or

+ CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - ARC American Red Cross Upon Hire required
