Some cross operational activity is routinely expected.* Keeps current with medication information, health care concepts and all regulations relative to the practice of long term care, institutional and retail pharmacy.* Interprets and clarifies new and refill order requests to ensure appropriateness and maintain patient safety.* Prepares or causes to be prepared safe, neat, accurate, complete medication orders.* Provides and is responsible for final check on all prepared medication to ensure accuracy and completeness.* Assures that all medication orders and supplies are delivered promptly and completely to correct patients.* Provides support/suggestions when appropriate to provide safe and effective medication therapy.* Prepares and completes all appropriate documentation including incident reports, controlled substances sheets, etc.JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PHARMACIST:* Bachelor's and/or Doctorate in Pharmacy from an accredited college or university* Experience with Pharmacy Data Entry Systems* Pharmacy licensure from state of employment is requiredCareerStaff is proud to be a six-time Great Place to Work™ and Diversity for Social Impact™ certified source of healthcare careers.
