The primary purpose of your job position is to provide assistance in all food functions as instructed and in accordance with established food policies and procedures.

Major Responsibilities:

* Prepare or direct the preparation of all food served in the facility using standardized recipes. * Adhere to menus and portion control standards, including those for special diets when preparing and serving meals. * Assist with the purchase and inventory of food supply. * Prepare and serve bedtime snacks, according to the established menu. * Prepare and serve substitute foods to residents who refuse foods served.

Specific Requirements:

* Must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities. * Must be knowledgeable of food procedures. * Must be able to follow oral and written instructions. * Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, the appearance of work areas, and perform regular inspections of food service areas for sanitation, order, safety, and proper performance of assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

* Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or GED equivalent and have some experience with food preparation (preferred). * You must be qualified, compassionate, and dedicated to a job well done.
