Follows appropriate procedures for obtaining and returning or cleaning/disposing of equipment and supplies. Participates in economical utilization of supplies and ensures that equipment is maintained in a clean and safe manner. Adheres to Diagnostic Imaging policies. Does not incur excessive overtime. Complies with specific SVH policies and procedures concerning safety. Assists patients, family members or other clients with concern and empathy; respects their confidentiality and privacy and communicates with them in a courteous and respectful manner. Answers and refers telephone calls or other inquires to ensure accurate and timely communications are facilitated. Identifies him/herself in a pleasant and positive manner. T akes responsibility for helping the caller and/or visitor. Assists in the orientation/training of new Team Members. Consistently works in a positive and cooperative manner with fellow Team Members. Assists other Team Members in the performance of their assignments. Education High School diploma or GED required. Successful completion of a formal Radiologic Technology or MRI Technology training program. Skagit Valley Hospital is a DNV certified Primary Stroke Center. Required to complete 1 hour of stroke education annually. Experience/Training Minimum one (1) year prior experience preferred. License/Certifications Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) or ARMRIT (American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists) required. ARRT candidates are preferred to have Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) Certification. ARRT candidates are required to attain MR certification within 1 year of hire and maintain a current Washington State Radiologic Technologist license. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider BLS required. Skagit Regional Health offers a comprehensive benefit package including medical, dental, vision, 457b/401a (retirement), long term disability, and paid time off to all employees holding an FTE of 20 or more hours per week.
