Responsibilities: • Perform engineering design evaluations and concept development across global vehicle programs • Utilize engineering tools and collaborate with VDDV groups including Safety Performance to successfully develop the best system solution • Package components such as steering wheels, airbags and collaborate with other systems within the vehicle (Interior

IP/Trim/Overhead/Seats,

Electrical, Body, etc.) • Work multi-functionally to support initial vehicle configuration work, realize cost optimization, deliver requirements, and implement product and process improvements • Balance business imperatives, including but not limited to cost, mass, complexity, and timing • Communicate information to and from internal and external customer organizations (e.g. Design, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Validation, suppliers) and lead the product development team (PDT) • Stay abreast of relevant new technology and products • Evaluate supplier proposals and designs • Ensure specifications at the vehicle, system and component level and regulations for all regions of sale are met with balanced solutions • Summarizes complex issues into a format that is easily understood by leadership • Effectively facilitate meetings and publish necessary documentation
