Enjoy working on-site at Shoe Carnival's Corporate Headquarters located at 7500 E Columbia Street in Evansville, Indiana Gain valuable experience and earn some extra money this summer - Summer internship opportunity June 2024 through July 2024.

This position will work 8:00-5:00 Monday -- Thursday, with the option of working remotely on Friday.

The HR/Talent Acquisition Intern will assist with a variety of administrative recruiting and HR related duties.

  • Formats job descriptions and job postings.
  • Learns how to audit I-9/E-Verify correction reports and follows up with stores as needed.
  • Conducts new hire orientations.
  • Prepares onboarding materials.
  • Schedules interviews for hiring managers.
  • Updates reports such as employee lists and Recruitment Summary Reports as needed.
  • Manages social media pages to include content creation, company updates, and comment/review maintenance.
  • Prepares new hire and promotional announcements.

Requirements:

  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Human Resources) with at least one year completed.
  • Strong computer skills including a proven ability to create and maintain complex analysis reports and a proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team and build collaborative relationships.
  • Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with co-workers, supervisors, and vendors at every level.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
