As the Buyer Planner, you will manage purchasing and material requirements planning. Analyze, prioritizes all sales orders using MRP, and generating a Master Production Schedule weekly, along with managing assigned personnel.

You will report to the Plant Manager and will be seated in our Richmond, VA plant. PPG offers excellent Medical, Dental, & Vision Benefits; matching 401k + retirement savings; and Paid Vacation, Holiday pay.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will implement material flow management systems to meet requirements and receive and prioritize all sales orders using SFP;
  • Communicate with logistics and production to ensure orders are produce and sent on time, create the Master Production Schedules weekly, and supply updates•
  • Receive and prioritize all sales orders in MRP. You will also work with QA, QC hold, and overrun into master production schedules
  • Manage reports and communication for Sales, local vendor relationships, and Late Order Report
  • Ensure stocking/staging areas are organized for ease of access, first in first out systems are followed, and that aged inventory is kept at minimal levels.
  • You will open and close batch tickets, post batches into system, and receiving raw materials
  • Produce purchase orders for raw materials, and packaging
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management
  • 3 years of experience in supply chain or buyer planner
