Perform all duties within the Company's safety,health & environmental regulations.KEY DUTIES:•To be responsible for the development, implementation, andmonitoring of predominately short term (0- 12 months) plans to ensure theachievement of objectives related to a given engineering discipline. •To solve problems, sometimes in the face of limited or vagueinformation, that may affect multiple disciplines and departments. •Guidance will be sought in most cases before implementing asolution. •The Engineer may be involved in, respond to, and assist in accidentand incident investigations. •To regularly communicate technical information and influenceinternally at all site levels and with external engineering contractors,suppliers and regulators of core discipline engineering matters. •Provide plant and process troubleshooting skills to manufacturingassets ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum. •Lead/participate in hazard studies and participate in processhazard reviews including carrying out risk assessments with assigned plantareas. •The role requires engineering acumen to identify areas forimprovement and to generate original thinking in design and development. •The job holder is expected to approach tasks with creativity, flairand continual improvement. •To work under the direction of their line manager with regularreferral. •Decisions are made in relation to specific situations and may beinherently complex in nature with the results regularly reviewed. •Assistance and advice are available. •The post-holder is expected to work as part of a largerdepartmental team.Education & Training: Educated to degree level. 2 to 4 years inan industrial setting: chemical processing industry preferred.COMMUNICATION SKILLS:•Must have oral & written proficiency in the English language.COMPUTER SKILLS:•Proficient in MS Office.OTHER SKILLS:•Competent in core engineering disciplines.•Good team player.•Ability to prioritize workload with competing priorities.Ability to walk, sit or stand for a minimum of 8 hours. May berequired to move throughout production areas on uneven surfaces, climb laddersand/or stairs and be exposed to outside weather conditions for extendedperiods.
