Our team has the opportunity to support our clients amidst community opposition, environmental liabilities, energy transition initiatives, and shareholder activism. Our growing business is looking for a talented, motivated, and passionate environmental consultant (senior-level position) to join our innovative high-performing team. We work one to three days a week in our Houston office and 2-4 days a week from home with some opportunities for work travel, as allowed per project. Following the first year of employment, we have unlimited Paid Time Off. We are a collaborative team that supports each other as we deliver work for our clients. The successful candidate will have the following competencies: 5 + years of environmental consulting experience BS/ MS Degree in environmental science or related field Strong professional work ethic, initiative and integrity Project experience should include: – Work with Nature-based Solutions projects – Biodiversity Plans – Impact Assessments – leading EIA, baseline studies, due diligence assessment, and related services Willingness to occasionally travel to and work in developing countries on short (normally one week or less) assignments Ability to accomplish work assignments without extensive direction Ability to communicate in foreign language(s) is a strong plus Flexibility Teamwork Communications Quick-learning Critical thinking Analysis-synthesis Must have authorization to work in the US if not a citizen. The location of this position is at Acorn International’s Houston office.
