Pipefitter C

Job Title: Pipefitter CGeneral Function: The Pipefitter C is responsible for laying out, installing, and maintaining vessel piping systems, including heat and power lines, hot water systems, hydraulic systems, air pressure lines, and oil lines.Typical Duties and Responsibilities: The following outlines the general nature of the work performed but is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities: Follow blueprints and use hand tools and shop machines for the installation of piping systems. Cut and bore holes in bulkheads and decks for pipe installations. Cut and thread pipes and pipefittings for assembly. Connect pipes to fixtures and test systems for leaks, ensuring systems meet specifications. Collaborate with a tacker/helper to perform precision work and resolve issues. Be able to interpret and perceive detailed information from blueprints and objects. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Familiarity with blueprints and drawings related to piping systems. Strong attention to detail when reading and interpreting plans. Problem-solving skills in precision work environments. Desirable Experience & Training: Prior experience as a pipefitter is preferred. Ability to operate a cutting torch and tack welding equipment.
