Job Description

Summary: Reporting to the Assembly Supervisor, this position is a tremendous opportunity to help support the Supervisor and drive production while managing safety, quality, productivity and cost. This position will set up the right individual with the opportunity to work with a worldwide, growing, private company that provides job diversity and upward career path.

First Shift (6:30 am to 5 pm - Monday thru Thursday - most Fridays off)

Job Specifications:

(Key results expected from this position in the first 6-12 months)

1. Responsible for the daily activities required to meet the production schedule

2. Make sure proper staffing is in place to support the line.

3. Ensure adequate training is administered to the new employees.

4. Meet all safety, quality, productivity and MRO goals for the area.

5. Properly fill out daily hour by hour reports, repair logs, checklists, etc..

6. Communicate clearly with supervisors and other team members at all levels in the organization

7. Responsible for monitoring repairs and scrap as well as providing corrective actions to the supervisor

8. Must be able to do basic math

9. Must be able to stand and walk for 10 hours per day and lift up to 40 lbs

Qualifications

1. Must have at least 1-2 years experience working in a fast paced manufacturing setting, assembly experience is required

2. Must have excellent written and oral skills

3. Excellent attendance is required and safe work history

4. Must be self-motivated and work well under high pressure situations

5. Must have leadership ability in the workplace

6. Able to give and receive constructive criticism

7. Has experience with lean manufacturing by working in a lean environment

8. Has a good understanding of ergonomics and how they apply to the work area.

9. Willing to move to other lines as needed

10. Knowledge of compressor assembly and electric motors is preferred.

11. Experience managing / supervising production workers.
