Selected candidate should have an Electrical Engineering focus for this particular role.Title: Senior Test Manufacturing Engineer (TestStand)Location: Bedford, MADuration: Permanent Placement, Full-timeThe selected candidate should have experience with National Instruments Labview and/or Teststand development. Previous medical device and/or regulated experience is a plus. While this individual will work on the line, it is primarily focused on working (or developing into) a TestStand SME.Responsibilities: Responsible for the resolution of production process issues utilizing problem solving techniquesto analyze, identify root cause(s), develop and implement solutions. May be required to act as Product Champion for a specific product or product line with thefollowing leadership responsibilities: The focal point in operations for the products which theyhave responsibility for. Leads the resolution of production process issues utilizing problem solving techniques toanalyze, identify root cause(s), develop and implement solutions. Provides technical support and leadership for continuous improvement team efforts focused onprocess improvement and improvements to product manufacturability. Provides technical leadership and hands-on engineering support, including specification andimplementation of assembly/test methods and process optimization. Provides technical support for continuous improvement efforts conducting root cause analysisthen formulating and implementing corrective action proposals. Responsible for establishing the Manufacturing Quality Plan (MQP) for a product or product lineincluding process flow, production floor layout, equipment, line balancing, etc. Writes process procedures, change orders, equipment specifications, validation plans, andreports. Performs research on technology, equipment and tooling to improve process quality, yield orcost; Generates proposals for purchase and implementation, including cost of ownership, ROIand benefit analysis. Performs engineering design of test equipment, assembly equipment, fixtures and tools;Performs IQ/OQ/PQ validation activities. Participates in the introduction of new products into manufacturing; Collaborate with R&D andsuppliers to improve product robustness and manufacturability both pre- and post-release. Supervises (as assigned) personnel in classifications below that of Senior Mfg. Engineer. May lead or participate in Lean Six Sigma projects of significant scope and complexityAdditional Notes:Day to Day If something happens on the floor that is priority one (test fixture or software etc.) Development work for new fixtures - upgrade fixtures (moving windows 7 to windows 10 forexample) Converting older software that is not compatible with LabVIEW Working with other engineers Size of team - 6- 7 engineers EE, ME, some software + technicians Most attractive for potential candidates: will work on several growth projects for R&DRequirements EE background TestStand and LabVIEW, with architecture experience a plus At least 2-3 years of development work Understand test fixtures Regulated environment, especially medical devices is a plus#J-18808-Ljbffr
