JOB SUMMARY:Optimizing production manufacturing processes through developing, planning, and implementing improvements that positively impact safety, quality, labor, and delivery utilizing engineering principles.ESSENTIAL FUNCIONS:* Production line technical support* Provide necessary tooling, routers, labor standards, raw material structure, make vs. buy analysis, process instructions, and technical support for the timely implementation of engineering changes* Accountable for achieving goals and objectives for the Manufacturing Engineering group and Operations organization.* Utilize PLM system including reviewing product design changes and assess manufacturing impact* Recognize labor impact with process/design changes and implement plans with little impact to Manufacturing departments.* Develop business cases, write AFEs for funding procurement* Develop process changes/improvements using SPC, PFMEA, and control plans* Utilize root cause analysis methodology to solving manufacturing issues* Will be working within an ISO 9000 quality system and produce documentation acceptable to the customer* Document and report work activity* Other duties as assigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITIES:* Balanced, dynamic, methodical approach; good work ethic, integrity, and professional conduct* Must demonstrate positive attitude; foster teamwork; responsive to customer/Manufacturing issues* Effective written and verbal communication skills; administrative and financial skills, excellent problem solver; able to interact with personnel in other organizations.* Ability to read and understand Engineering prints/drawings* Body and Chassis assembly* Program management and launchJob RequirementsEDUCATION AND/OR TRAINING* Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Accredited University* Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing, automotive preferred* Past experience in Production Supervision a plus* Must possess excellent planning and organization skills* Competent user of MS Office products
