This position is expected to work the State's full-time hours of 37.5 hours per week (NOT a 40 hour work
week).
Job Responsibilities:
Onboard an Oracle APEX programmer to review, properly document, maintain and enhance DoIT's Oracle Apex financial applications asrequired to meet the Department of Information Technology's Business Finance and Administration's needs.
The programmer will have regular interaction with the business team to understand the functional requirements required and be able totranslate the needs into technical specification documents; subsequently performing updates and enhancements to current applications in use within the department.
In preparation for transforming and modernizing the DoIT BFA Budget and Finance applications, this resource will be responsible for identifying datasets, application interfaces, data mappings & workflows within the existing systems, to assist the team with reviewing new application solutions to replace the legacy environment.
This CAI resource will allow a quicker transformation of needed updates and processes to occur.
Required Skills:
Experience with complex SQL,Server PL/SQL, stored procedures, and Oracle APEX;
Analyze legacy and currentsystems to create technical documentation and a source data mapping document;
Recommend and implement performance improvements of existing applications tooffer efficiencies for better user experience;
Effectively communicate with DoIT DBA and business staff regarding failures, outages, and delays in APEX application conversions;
Update Legacy based specifications to current data warehouse specifications;
Troubleshoot failed applications and processes related to migrated applications;
Ensure data quality and integrity within databases, functions and reporting;
Create complex functions and scripts that will support the applications in use by users;
Work as directed to apply DoIT coding standards, Release Management procedures, source code control, and best practices.
Must safeguard and protect data in compliance with established DoIT policies, federal or industryregulations, and standards.
