Lay out and mark reference points and dimensions on materials, using measuring instruments and drawing or scribing tools. Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position. Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; and calling for repairs. Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations. Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes. Monitor accountability (e.g., production paperwork, daily production process, etc.). Organize and ensure workflow, paperwork, and computer entry completion. Programs CNC press brake/ understands CCN laser programming by entering instructions, including zero and reference points; setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches; calculating requirements, including basic math, geometry, and trigonometry; proving part programs. Provide suggestions for improvement of process or quality. Study blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine material dimensions, required equipment, and operations sequences. This person will be ultimately responsible for the work of all others functioning in the drill press area. Troubleshoots production area issues. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; and reading technical publications. Other duties as assigned.Qualifications Required 2-year associate degree, Technical School Training in the field of Electronics, Networking, Mechanics, Technical certifications, or work-related experience Must have 3-5 years in a basic machine shop environment, with an additional 5-10 years of hands-on CNC; programming, and technical troubleshooting experience.
