Job Summary

About the Position
The Foundation Accounting Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper recording and documentation of financial transactions associated with Cal State Fullerton Philanthropic Foundation. This position is responsible for the Foundation cash receipt process and provides considerable support of complex accounts payable accounting. Duties include examining, preparing, and analyzing documents received by accounting services for processing, utilizing knowledge of financial record-keeping methods, and working closely with accountants on special projects. This role also supports month-end and year-end closing processes, compliance audits, and provides exceptional customer service to division and campus partners.
Essential Qualifications
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for employment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field. Experience in higher education, accounts receivable and/or accounts payable processing, and proficiency with query tools and Microsoft Excel.
