Semiconductor Packaging Engineer

The primary focus of the semiconductor packaging engineer is the development of packaging processes and tool capabilities to meet our technology milestones. This is a hands-on role within a driven, successful team of process engineers. This will involve collaboration with cross-functional/cross-company teams and external vendors to meet the requirements for our next-generation displays. The candidate must have both an entrepreneurial and growth mindset.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Developing processes and process windows for flip chip and wire bond packaging
Modifying and improving hardware and fixturing to improve process repeatability and process window
Working with external vendors to improve process quality
Working with internal teams to improve process margin on metal adhesion and bonding processes
Collaborating with internal teams to improve test capabilities of bonded die
Identify potential intellectual property (IP) opportunities and file disclosures.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

An MS or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Physics, Chemistry (or an equivalent field), 5+ years of experience in semiconductor process development
Preferred Skills:

Technical expertise within semiconductor processing engineering
Demonstrated experience with technical problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated experience working with external and internal partners.
A history of being a fast learner with the ability to adapt to the culture and the technology.
Flexibility in accommodating changing priorities to support business needs.
The ability for domestic and International traveling, as necessary to support job responsibilities.
