In this position, you will be responsible for the setup, assembly and welding of mild steel or stainless-steel pieces in a variety of scenarios. The primary function is welding mild steel. The ideal candidate will be skilled in MIG welding and able to pass AWS and/or QC weld department standards. A background in steel manufacturing or metal fabricating is beneficial as well.Job ResponsibilitiesReview schematics to ensure you have the proper equipment and materialsSet up and operate of welding equipmentOperation overhead crane to assist in assembly of piecesLay out work using tape measures squares and rigging equipment to fit to printWeld, cut, drill, and fabricate steel pieces according to printMaintain a clean work areaMinimum Job Requirements1-2 years of welding experience preferredMIG welding experience preferredWelds must pass AWS and internal QC Department Weld StandardsBlueprint reading experience preferredWorking knowledge of how to use welding toolsAble to lift 60 poundsBend, lift, sit, stand 8 to 10 hours/dayCompensation and Benefits:Competitive hourly payHealthcare benefits - Medical, dental, vision, and more401k w/ 3% company contributionPaid vacation and holidaysProfit sharing Brechbuhler Scales, Inc. and B-TEK Scales, Inc. is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and affirmative action employer.
