Find out more at www.harder.com.What you'll be doing:You will be responsible for reviewing mechanical drawings and performing quantity take-offs for active pursuits and awarded projects. You will be involved from the pursuit stage through project execution, preparing accurate estimates for the operations team in the field. This is an office position and an ideal role for a detail-oriented person. Estimators at Harder perform the following daily tasks:Determine scope of work for estimates and bid preparationUse estimating software to complete quantity take-offsReview RFPs, specs, and basis of design to accurately scope a projectCoordinate estimates with project team to meet submission deadlinesWhat you will need to be successful in this role:Familiarity with estimating process and systemsExtreme attention to detailStrong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks on an ongoing basisRelentless commitment to teamwork and client satisfactionBasic computer competency, including Microsoft Office and BluebeamPassion for ongoing learning and keeping up with industry trendsInterest in LEAN construction principlesAbility to travel to other regions to gain exposure to additional markets and industriesEducation/Experience:5+ years of estimating and take-off experience with a focus on mechanical systemsBachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction ManagementAbility to read mechanical and plumbing drawingsBenefitsCompetitive salaryComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits - 100% of employee premiums are paid by the companyGenerous retirement package includes: 10% retirement contribution made by the company and a company match up to 2% of your annual salaryProfit sharingDiscretionary annual bonusPaid vacation and holidaysHarder University training and development, as well as other paid professional development opportunitiesTeam environment that promotes individual growthHMC reserves the right to perform a drug screening and background check, as may be required, and this offer may be contingent on passing a drug screening and background check.
