Project Manager Position Summary:

Our firm is currently seeking an Architectural Project Manager to oversee a variety of medium to large-scale ground up and remodel commercial projects. In this role, you will act as the primary contact for our clients from conceptual design through project close out. The ideal candidate will possess a great attention to detail, strong problem solving and communication skills.

Position Roles & Responsibilities:

Must proficiently serve in the following capacities throughout each project:

  • Will be the main point of contact from concept design through project close on multiple projects, leading a team of staff members and consultants. The PM will be responsible for their productivity throughout each Project ensuring a timely, accurate and coordinated drawing set. The PM will consistently meet with team members to direct workload and review project timelines/milestones.
  • Ensure project constructability, code compliance, budgetary considerations, and aesthetics. The PM will oversee the development of these details and support/supervise the team members as they assist in developing needed details by assessing technical adequacy and completeness.
  • Perform quality assurance checks on all drawings and documents related to assigned projects.
  • Oversees training of junior staff and implementation of Naos and Clients standards, providing mentorship and assistance in solving project specific technical solutions.
  • Exhibit excellent time management skills while having the ability to prioritize assigned tasks and delegate efficiently to maintain established project timelines and milestones.
  • A strong ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in different phases of production and/or construction.
  • Serve as the Construction Administrator during the Construction Phase, as required. Specific responsibilities during this phase include: review and approval of shop drawings & submittals, responding to Contractors RFIs, review of change orders, and performing field reports and punch lists.
  • Experience with working in local jurisdictions including but not limited to preparation of permit applications, draft responses to jurisdictional comments, identify alternate approaches to achieve project approval where necessary.

Position Requirements & Skills:

  • Minimum 6 years post graduate experience, preferred 2+ years project management experience.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD.
  • Proficient in Revit including, but not limited to: 3D modeling, collaborating with a team in a single model, and creating and editing schedules, families, and components.
  • Proficient knowledge and understanding of building codes, construction detailing of various commercial building systems, and engineering trades for coordination.
  • Possess excellent communication, time management, and technical skills.
  • Ability to travel is not required but is a plus.
