Working autonomously, this person may act as a mentor to lower level peers and provides guidance on the management of government property and materials. Makes recommendations for process improvements. Works on assignments requiring applied judgement and initiative. Communicates with contacts typically within and outside the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information that requires explanation or interpretation. Makes recommendations for solutions to challenges. Provides input into new products/processes that have a measurable impact on business or functional results./ph3Essential Functions/h3ulliProperty management activities to ensure accountability for Government Property in accordance with applicable FAR, DFARS, and other USG/customer contractual requirements and internal procedures./liliAccurately maintain Government property records, regarding acquisition, receiving, identification, record keeping, movement, storage, inventories, consumption, utilization, maintenance, subcontractor control./liliAssist in preparing Government property inventory reports for audit or contractor review submittal. Inaccuracy of these records could result in the loss of the privilege to store Government property at our facility./liliResponsible for Process and control of all material storage and movement in and out of Government Furnished Stores. Assist in record keeping of all Government / Customer owned property for the Division./liliInterface with other departments as required ensuring control and coordinate for efficient material flow./liliUnpack material received and assure that it properly stored, and all relevant transactions are done on the MRP system to show the location of the material. Report any discrepancies of received assets/materials to the Government/customer as required./liliSelection and issue of material to the production floor according to production requirements and operation packet instructions./liliOperate equipment required to handle, protect and deliver government material in performance of duties. Operate forklift or transporter to receive, deliver, and pick up stock and parts or assemblies. Exercise driving and handling precautions beyond normal driving and handling./liliSubmit property administrative reports to customer stakeholders and regulatory agencies, e.g. Loss, Damage, Destruction (LDD), Inventory Results, etc./liliProvides input into new processes, standards and/or operational plans that will have measurable impact on the achievement of overall function or business results./li/ulh3Qualifications/h3ulliRequires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience./liliGood interpersonal and communication skills/liliAbility to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance./liliWorking knowledge of managing Government Property on a DoD contract/liliWorking knowledge of materials management to include inventory, utilization, and consumption/liliWorking knowledge and compliance experience with FAR and DFARS requirements/liliAbility to analyze information gathered to identify potential problems or discrepancies./liliMust be detail-oriented, be able to multitask while maintaining attention to detail/li/ulh3Preferred Additional Skills/h3ulliBachelors degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration preferred/liliNPMA CPPA/CPPM certification preferred/liliExperience with PIEE, GFP Module, UID Registry/liliExperience with DCMA and DCAA audit process/liliExperience with NAVSUP CAV reporting preferred/liliKnowledge of MRP/ERP and Advance Planning tools such as SAP/liliAdvanced knowledge of MS office suite of products/liliStrong decision making and problem-solving skills./liliExcellent communication skills./liliForklift Certification/liliCurrent DoD Secret Clearance/li/ul/div
