The American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) is seeking an Accreditation Manager to support the educational efforts consistent with ACCME Standards for Integrity and Independence in Accredited Continuing Education Resources. This position will be responsible for overseeing the accreditation process for our educational programs to ensure compliance with relevant accreditation standards and guidelines. This role requires a thorough understanding of CME accreditation requirements, excellent project management skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders. This job operates in a flexible work arrangement with an expectation to be onsite 2 days a week. A qualified candidate may also support projects that are comprised the Association (AANS), the Foundation (NREF) and the data registry arms (NPA).

JOB FUNCTIONS:
Manage the accreditation process for CME activities, ensuring compliance with accreditation standards set forth by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME).
Develops/maintains education activity files for courses and programs to meet ACCME criteria and standards.
Serves, manages, and supports internal staff and external strategic partners through Joint Providership; ensures appropriate resources throughout the AANS are used consistently to meet needs.
Identifies opportunities to incorporate commendation criteria into AANSs educational products.
Develops working relationships and serves as a liaison as necessary to ACCME, ACGME, ABNS, CNS, SNS, and individual medical specialty societies for maintenance of licensure programs.
Uses project management approaches to create and track detailed work plans and timelines to successfully implement educational programs. Monitoring routinely to ensure that projects adhere to established deadlines, milestones, scope, and organizational policies.
Supervises direct reports, providing guidance and direction to ensure that projects remain up-to-date and documentation for all assigned education programs are prioritized and completed appropriately. Develops staff to enhance their skills and assist them with reaching their potential as specialists in their field.
Assists with the development of annual budgets and routinely monitors budgets of assigned programs. Works to ensure that programs meet revenue and expense goals.
Serves as staff liaison for assigned committees and attends committee meetings as needed.
Participates in other daily administrative and support functions, including responding to telephone calls and requests and other general administrative tasks.
Performs other job-related duties.
QUALIFICATIONS:
College degree required and minimum of 5 years related experience required.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Experience with ACCME Self Study requirements and Commendation Criteria.
Extensive knowledge and proficiency in ACCME Standards.
Experience with other accredited providers including CNS, SNS, ABNS, ANCC, and AAPC.
Strong project management skills with attention to detail including the ability to coordinate workflow, determine priorities, meet deadlines, and effectively balance competing demands.
Team-centered focus with the ability to lead team efforts efficiently with limited resources.
Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills with the proven ability to prepare quality documentation.
Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel required. Experience with Cadmium and Nimble preferred.
Required travel to the AANS Annual Scientific Meeting, committee meetings, and live courses several times a year; occasional evening and weekend work.
Association and/or health care background a plus.
