JOB SUMMARYThis position is responsible for repairing HVAC and other air quality systems. The HVAC Technician typically responsible for keeping this equipment clean, fixed, and maintained within the facility, as well as locate any dangerous features on an HVAC system that could be harmful to the users' health. You also regularly clean, adjust and repair these systems, along with any warranty maintenance. This position reports to the Facilities Manager.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITES Performs assigned day-to-day repairs, emergency, and preventive maintenance. Completes maintenance and repairs, records as required.Reviews assigned work orders. Estimates time and materials needed to complete repair.Responsible for preventative maintenance and corrective repair of HVAC roof top units (RTU's).Oversees and inspects the work performed by outside contractorsResponds quickly to emergency situationsPerforms daily inspections of HVAC unitsMaintain adequate knowledge of and comply with OSHA standards and company safety policies at all timesPerforms all duties in a safe manner, following Company work rules and policiesPerforms cleaning duties as assigned with an eye towards maintaining a sanitary environmentAssist in construction, preventative, routine, and breakdown maintenance and repairs on all equipment in the facilityComplete work orders as assignedWill develop a high level of knowledge concerning the areas of the facilityPerform other maintenance duties as requestedHelp create a positive environment by having a positive attitude and by being self-motivatedResearch, evaluate and adapt to new methods, in order to meet or exceed goals, and or modify their technique/procedures based on all applicable lawsJOB REQUIREMENTS Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or experience in HVAC requiredClimbing, reading, standing, walking, and routinely lifting 25lbs - 50lbsEffective verbal and written communication skills.
