Network Engineer with Security Clearance

Job Description: George Consulting is seeking a Network Engineer with an understanding in working in Agile Project management and/or Development Operations environments and to support a Department of Defense research lab. Roles and Responsibilities: The Network Engineer responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: * Design and implement computer and information networks (physical and virtual), such as local area networks (LAN/VLAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks. * Perform network modeling, analysis, and planning. * Configure and maintain Cisco VPN enabled network * Research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software. * Able to work independently with limited direction and be self-motivated. * Able to work with other contractor teammates and customers daily. * Able to work closely with customers to ensure deliverables meet their expectations and arrive in a timely manner. * Attend and actively participate in team meetings. * Apply software patches to network assets in response to and to mitigate vulnerability findings. THIS POSITION REQUIRES AN ACTIVE DEPARTMENT OF DEFENSE TOP SECRET OR SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE. Required Skills & Experience: * Possess an active security clearance * Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field. * Citrix hypervisor experience (or other vmware experience), * Networked Attached Storage (NAS) knowledge/experience * Familiar with various Firewall configurations (iptables or similar) and experience with implementing. * Experience in computer system administration, especially Linux (Debian, Ubuntu etc.).bfb3568a-762b-4989-884b-a9682aa104ca
