Who We Are:

DHT Group, based out of Reese, Michigan has been ensuring safety and satisfaction for over 40 years. DHT is hiring at all facilities with additional Michigan locations in Newport, Sault Ste. Marie, and Port Huron, as well as Bellefontaine, Ohio. DHT has several divisions including Tanker, Gravel Train, Flatbed, Van, Excavating, and Landscape Supply. DHT also operates full-service repair facilities.

Job Summary: The HR Generalist provides support to one or more human resources functions, including recruiting, benefits, payroll, benefit and leave administration, and with daily functions.

Essential Duties:

•Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date human resource personnel and medical files, records, and documentation.

•Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of human resource and medical files and records.

•Act as a liaison between the organization and external benefits providers and vendors, which may include health, disability, and retirement plan providers.

•Field questions from applicants and employees relative to policies, benefits, claims, etc.

•Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, leave administration, and open enrollment.

•Assist and backup payroll administration as needed.

•Assist and backup recruiting and onboarding as needed.

•Coordinate benefits processing by handling enrollments, qualified changes, claims, 401(k) administration, and compliance testing/audits.

•Gather employee data and oversee the processing of monthly billings and monthly invoice reconciliations.

•Run reports for benefit timelines, ACA compliance, EEO compliance, etc.

•Assist with employee wellness campaigns.

•Stay abreast of all regulatory employment laws to ensure compliance.

•Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and best practices.

Requirements

Job Requirements:

•3+ years of direct and progressive HR experience.

•Strong interpersonal, organizational, planning, communications, and interaction skills required to communicate with all levels within the organization.

•Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

•Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

•Knowledge of pertinent federal and state employment regulations.

•Maintain a high level of integrity and confidentiality.

Preferred Requirements:

Experience with Paylocity and Employee Navigator

Physical Requirements:

•Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer

•Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.

•Must be able to pass a background screen.
