A national electrical engineering firm is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee planning, scheduling, and administration for a diverse range of projects. As a Sr. PM, you will be the company's principal representative, responsible for the administrative and technical management of construction projects. You will supervise all activities related to contract administration, document control, change orders, submittals, procurement, and scheduling. You will collaborate closely with the Estimating team during the pre-construction phase and work with owners, A/Es, suppliers, and subcontractors to address constructability and value engineering issues during negotiations and contract execution.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Review owner contracts and ensure compliance
  • Manage the development of master project schedules and quality control programs
  • Identify critical issues and milestones
  • Review budgets and scopes with the Preconstruction Department
  • Manage project budgets and forecast potential additional costs
  • Ensure safety is integrated into job planning and execution
  • Develop GMP or Lump Sum Contracts
  • Prepare subcontract and owner change orders
  • Prepare monthly owner requisitions
  • Analyze subcontractors' financial ability to perform
  • Ensure all contractual requirements for subcontractors/vendors are met before mobilization
  • Manage project assets
  • Conduct weekly and monthly job cost report reviews
  • Develop look-ahead schedules
  • Oversee the companys quality control program on projects

Qualified applicants should have:

  • Four-year degree in Construction or Engineering, or equivalent combination of technical training and related experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in electrical contracting, construction, and management
  • Proficiency in software and tools (Primavera, Expedition, CGC CMS, MS Word, Excel, AIA Contract Documents)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced knowledge of safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, quality control, engineering drawings, and other construction documents
