Williamson and Priory Friends

The Williamson and Priory Friends are looking for someone to support their current treasurer with a view to taking over the role. They are a small charity, a CIO and exist to support the Williamson Museum in Birkenhead and the Birkenhead Priory. The role involves the management of their funds and keeping financial records and including recovering gift aid. The treasurer also prepares and submits informal accounts to their accountant, who is paid to produce detailed annual accounts for the Charity Commission. The treasurer therefore would need some experience of budget management and have reasonable computer skills, including of spreadsheets. The committee currently meets alternate months at the Museum. The role might appeal to someone with an interest in the arts or local history, but that is not essential.
