Essential functions of the position include:
- Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, punctuation, and style, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with writers, designers, and other team members to develop high-quality content for various platforms, including blogs, websites, social media, email campaigns, and print materials.
- Conduct thorough fact-checking to ensure the accuracy of information.
- Provide constructive feedback and guidance to writers to enhance content quality and effectiveness.
- Assist in developing and implementing content strategies that drive engagement, lead generation, and brand awareness.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously improve content quality and performance.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting tight deadlines without compromising quality.
- Support the Senior Director of Content Marketing in various content-related initiatives and projects.
- Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Content Editor, Copy Editor, or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of AP Style.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.
- Familiarity with SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to provide and receive constructive feedback.
- Ability to successfully pass a criminal background check and possess an acceptable MVR.
