Roles& Responsibilities
•Collaborate with the softwaredevelopment team, project managers, and other stakeholders to understandproject requirements, technical specifications, and desired outcomes forsoftware development projects in the electrical domain.
•Provide subject matter expertise andtechnical guidance to the software development team during the estimationprocess, ensuring accurate alignment of the estimates with electricalengineering principles and requirements.
•Work closely with the softwaredevelopment team to gather necessary information for estimating purposes, suchas software architecture, technical specifications, and desired functionalityspecific to electrical systems.
•Understanding of project data,including electrical system requirements, technical specifications, andsoftware development efforts, to accurately estimate the costs and duration ofsoftware development projects in the electrical domain.
•Utilize industry-standard estimatingtechniques and tools to develop accurate cost estimates for softwaredevelopment projects, considering the complexity and scope of the desiredelectrical functionality.
•Prepare detailed breakdowns ofsoftware development tasks and effort estimates, considering factors such ascoding, testing, debugging, integration, and deployment, specific to electricalsystems.
•Identify and quantify potentialrisks and contingencies associated with software development projects,considering the technical requirements and challenges in the electrical domain.
•Research and gather information onmarket conditions, industry benchmarks, and historical data to ensure accurateestimates for software development projects in the electrical domain.
•Collaborate with the softwaredevelopment team to understand the technical approaches, software developmentmethodologies, and programming languages necessary for creating softwareprograms in the electrical domain and incorporate them into the estimationprocess.
•Create comprehensive and detailedproject plans and schedules, including resource allocation and taskdependencies, based on the estimated efforts and requirements for sof twaredevelopment projects in the electrical domain.
•Prepare and present projectestimates, including the breakdown of costs, effort estimates, and projectplans, to management and stakeholders, explaining assumptions, methodologies,and technical considerations specific to software development in the electricaldomain.
•Collaborate with the softwaredevelopment team to ensure accurate and up-to-date information on electricalengineering principles, industry best practices, and emerging technologies isincorporated into the estimation process.

GenericManagerial SkillsWe areseeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Electrical Estimator who willserve as a subject matter expert for our software development team. In thisrole, you will be required to understand the process to accurately estimate thecost, effort, and duration of various estimation jobs for electric distributionand Transmission projects. You will work closely with our software developmentteam, project managers, and other stakeholders to gather project requirements,provide technical guidance, and analyze data to develop business rules/requirements which will be the basis of comprehensive estimates. The idealcandidate for this role has a strong background in electrical engineering,experience in estimating electrical projects, knowledge of software developmentmethodologies, and proficiency in collaborating with software development teamsas a subject matter expert.
