Job Description:
As a Manufacturing Buyer/Planner, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing processes by effectively managing the procurement and planning of materials. You will be responsible for coordinating with suppliers, managing inventory levels, and scheduling production activities to meet customer demand while optimizing costs and efficiency.

Procurement:
  • Source, select, and negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best quality, price, and delivery terms for materials required for production.
  • Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and identify new potential vendors to ensure a diverse and reliable supply chain.
  • Review purchase orders and contracts to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and regulations.
Inventory Management:
  • Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory and carrying costs.
  • Implement inventory control measures such as FIFO, JIT, and safety stock to optimize inventory turnover and minimize stockouts.
Production Planning:
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including production, logistics, and quality assurance to ensure timely execution of production plans.
  • Work with suppliers as necessary to accommodate changes in production schedule, material availability, or production constraints.
Supplier Relationship Management:
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication and resolving any issues or disputes that may arise.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on criteria such as quality, delivery reliability, and responsiveness, and implement improvement initiatives as needed.
  • Work closely with suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement and planning functions to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to procurement and planning activities and develop action plans to address any deviations from targets.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2 years) in procurement, planning, or supply chain management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, inventory management techniques, and production planning methodologies.
  • Proficiency in using ERP systems, MRP software, Microsoft and other relevant tools for procurement and planning.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
